Meditation is a wonderful way to start your day right, end it calmly, or anywhere in between. There is a growing wealth of evidence that meditation can have a number of short and long term health benefits such as reduced stress, managing anxiety and improving memory and concentration.
The particular type of meditation I have shared here is called Yoga Nidra. It is a type of meditative practice which focuses on softening the body and fostering a deep relaxation.
The meditation below is 20 minutes long and sourced from the book ‘The Language of Yin’ by Gabrielle Harris. Try it in the evening or just before bed. It will be sure to wind you down into blissful calm.
